As a multi-line insurance agency owner, he led his agency team to earn the coveted President’s Council award—then achieved President’s Council status again as a District Manager, training and mentoring 28 agency owners. Most recently, he managed over $145MM in premiums as an Allstate Field Sales Leader, guiding 47 independent agency owners on customer acquisition, marketing, sales, retention, and customer loyalty to deliver real results.
From the beginning of his sales career, Ray focused on the value of relationship-based selling. After successfully using a structured coaching program for his own business, he went on to work for that coaching company as a recruiter and trainer—expanding a relationship-focused, communication-based program to train clients ranging from business leaders to Army chaplains.

Coming from a career military family, Ray spent much of his childhood overseas. He returned to the Nashville area to attend college and stayed in Middle Tennessee ever since, raising two sons with his wife of 37 years, Beth. Ray and his family love sports (you’ll find him tailgating most Sundays—he’s a longtime Titan’s season ticket holder). An avid golfer, Ray loves to travel far and wide to experience courses around the world.
Ray’s coaching skills go beyond the business realm—he coached youth baseball for over 12 years, and was the pitching coach for the USSSA World Series champions!
